A meeting between Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, and the Saudi Minister of Trade, Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi took place in Jeddah on April 18th under the auspices of the Morocco-Saudi Arabia Business Form. Both the Ministers discussed measures to increase bilateral trade and identify the goals of economic cooperation between the two nations.
Deepening of communication between the governments and private sectors of both nations, expanding bilateral economic linkages, stepping up human capital investment, and cooperative access to prospective markets were among the goals identified.
Mezzour, called for identification and removal of obstacles for two-way trade and urged setting up of a shipping line between the two nations in order to boost commerce. About 240 saudi companies have established their presence in Morocco.
