Morocco has a shortage of 32,000 doctors and 65,000 nurses.The COVID 19 had intensified the medical staff shortage. The country wants to fill in the shortages by attracting foreign doctors. To deal with the shortage of local doctors and attract foreign doctors, Morocco is ready to facilitate the practice of foreign doctors who have a permit to practice abroad, the minister added. The minister also said that investors who select under-served “medical deserts” for their investment will be offered tax incentives and state aid.

Morocco has introduced tough measures to curb Covid-19 contagion and shut its borders to passenger traffic.
