· Three agreements signed between Morocco and Liberia in the fields of higher education and scientific research, agriculture, and health.
Morocco and the Republic of Liberia enjoy strong political and economic ties. The bilateral ties have seen further reinforcement by way of three agreements signed this week in the fields of higher education and scientific research, agriculture, and health. The agreements were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, Nasser Bourita from the Moroccan side and Liberian FM Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr in Rabat.
The first agreement in the field of higher education proposes to advance the scientific and technological capacity of the two countries. It also aims to strengthen ties between the scientific and technical communities in Morocco and Liberia and enhance technical cooperation.
The second memorandum of understanding (MOU) in the field of agriculture outlines the general framework for cooperation in the agricultural field based on the exchange of experiences, technical assistance, and capacity building.
For the third agreement, an MOU is a framework for cooperation in health, including maternal, child, and new-born health, as also to reinforce their epidemiological vigilance. It aims to enhance the capabilities of human resources, health coverage, prevention, and control of transmitted and non-communicable diseases.
