The Royal Moroccan Navy is currently participating in a multinational naval drill off the coast of France, joining forces with French and Portuguese navies as part of the Clemenceau 25 mission. This joint operation highlights the increasing maritime coordination between the three nations, particularly in the areas of security and crisis management within the Mediterranean region.

French military leaders described the exercise as an opportunity to share knowledge and promote a united approach to addressing regional issues. In a statement on X, the French General Staff emphasised that the drills contribute to maintaining stability and security throughout the Mediterranean.

Back in October, Morocco hosted its annual Chebec joint exercise with the French Navy—a tradition that has continued since 1994 and plays a vital role in strengthening operational cooperation between the two navies.

The Royal Moroccan Navy also maintains a strong presence in the Strait of Gibraltar. Just last week, the frigate Tariq ibn Ziad, accompanied by patrol vessels Hassan II and Lieutenant Colonel Al-Rahmani, navigated the strait toward the Mediterranean.
