Moroccan firm to build aeronautical maintenance centre in Senegal

·      Inter Tridim, a leading Moroccan company in the steel construction sector has signed a contract with Senegal’s Blaise Diagne International Airport (Aibd) to build a sophisticated aircraft maintenance hangar in Senegal that meets global standards.

·       The maintenance center will be part of Senegal’s Blaise Diagne International Airport (Aibd) and the construction is expected to be completed over a period of 18 months.

The maintenance center will be part of Senegal’s Blaise Diagne International Airport (Aibd) and the construction is expected to be completed over a period of 18 months, according to media.

According to a statement by Inter Tridim the proposed infrastructure will include a specific aircraft hangar, part of which will house workshops to store parts and components for a general overhaul. The facility will also include administrative offices and space for aircraft manufacturers. Automotive and aeronautical industries have remained among Morocco’s booming sectors in the last year.

Aibd CEO Doudou Ka said that the Moroccon company was selected from other bidders as it had already undertaken other infrastructure projects in Senegal.
