The maintenance center will be part of Senegal’s Blaise Diagne International Airport (Aibd) and the construction is expected to be completed over a period of 18 months, according to media.
According to a statement by Inter Tridim the proposed infrastructure will include a specific aircraft hangar, part of which will house workshops to store parts and components for a general overhaul. The facility will also include administrative offices and space for aircraft manufacturers. Automotive and aeronautical industries have remained among Morocco’s booming sectors in the last year.
Aibd CEO Doudou Ka said that the Moroccon company was selected from other bidders as it had already undertaken other infrastructure projects in Senegal.
