Libya’s “Medsky Airways” has introduced two new flight routes connecting Mitiga Airport in Tripoli and Misrata Airport and Tunis Carthage International Airport.

The company launched the new routes recently and will operate seven weekly flights between Mitiga and Misrata airports and Tunis Carthage Airport, with a daily flight on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and two flights on Tuesdays.

MedSky Airways, short for Mediterranean Sky Airways, is a new Libyan airline based in Malta . The airline began operations earlier this year with flights between Tripoli and Malta. Based in Tripoli, it operates scheduled passenger and cargo services within Libya and Europe, North Africa and the Middle East , the majority of which leave from Tripoli International Airport. Benina International Airport in Benghazi serves as a secondary base. Libyan Airlines also operates Hajj services.

In Libya, there are  15 large  airports. The Tripoli International Airport is the biggest among them in terms of flights operated to different destinations and traffic handled.  Fourteen  airlines operate flights to  25 destinations. Libyan Airlines is leading airline company  with a total of 22 flight destinations.
