CCA President and CEO Florizelle Liser signed the Memorandum of Understanding with minister of foreign affairs, regional integration and international trade Dhananjay Ramful on the margins of the UN General assembly in New York last week.
The Washington-based Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) has announced the island country of Mauritius as the host of next year’s US-Africa Business Summit, bringing the American private sector’s signature African investment conference to the Indian Ocean for the first time.
CCA President and CEO Florizelle Liser signed the Memorandum of Understanding with minister of foreign affairs, regional integration and international trade Dhananjay Ramful on the margins of the UN General assembly in New York last week.
The exact date has yet to be set but the summit usually takes place in late spring or early summer. Liser underscored the country’s “strategic location, strong governance and dynamic business environment”.

By hosting the 2026 Summit in Mauritius, the Island country is underscoring the role as a model of what is possible on the continent, while creating new opportunities for US and African companies to partner across vital sectors like health, energy, finance, agribusiness and infrastructure.
