Egyptian industry and boost exports under the slogan “Made in Egypt”.
As a follow up of this, the Industry Ministry is working in full-swing to put into effect the president’s directives, renovate the industrial sector and offer enhanced services for investors and business owners. The industry ministry is establishing medium and small-scales industrial complexes nationwide. This is followed up by regular ministerial meetings to implement the project and to create a conducive environment
Most large manufacturing enterprises in Egypt are still owned or operated by the state despite there being a discernible move by the government to sell substantial holdings to the private sector. The stakes being offered to the private sector included chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food products, textiles and garments, cement and other building materials, and paper products as well as derivatives of hydrocarbons. Iron, steel, and automobiles were of growing importance to the Egyptian economy and the government is trying to attract private sector investments there.
