The major obstacle of the pottery industry has been the transportation of pots to various markets across the country and abroad to countries like Britain, Germany, America and Canada. There were problems emanating from shipping of the pots. Meticulous   packaging is needed, since they are easily breakable. Artisans, therefore, focused on using packing materials that can protect the pots during shipments. The industry is also presently faced with labour shortages and a rise in the price of raw materials.
