The supply of these devices was based on a contract concluded by the Airports Authority in 2023 with Smiths Detection’s local distributor.

Libya’s Airports Authority reported that new X-ray/CT passenger luggage and hand luggage security inspection equipment were installed at Zintan Airport. The state-of-the-art equipment was supplied by Smiths Detection (Germany).
