Authorities in Rwanda have welcomed the British courts giving the green light to the deportation of migrants

Authorities in Rwanda have welcomed the British courts giving the green light to the deportation of migrants as reported by www.trendsnafrica.com. The court held that the decision of Britain to repatriate people who have arrived illegally in the United Kingdom to the central African country was legal and valid. Kigali has hailed the decision and called it a positive one.

The Hope Hostel is one of the major properties that will be the first home for migrants deported from the United Kingdom in Rwanda. It was earlier hosting student survivors of the 1994 genocide for nearly three decades. Rwanda has renovated a 50-room facility in Kigali’s Kagugu neighbourhood.

Rwanda is all over trying newer concepts for resolving migrant issues.  The West European countries feel that the illegal migration of people from Africa adds to the pressure in civic life. Britain is obliged to compensate Rwanda for providing asylum to the immigrants sent back to the central African country. The decision of the British government triggered protests in the West European countries by non-governmental organizations including trade unions and the church. They termed it as inhuman to send them back to a country, where they (migrants) do not want to stay. It is still not known what will be the future course of action; whether the migrants and those who support them would go in appeal against this decision.
