“RoRo” line serves as a sustainable bridge between Egypt and Italy, aligning with Egypt’s strategy to become a regional logistics hub.  The project is expected to open new export markets, especially for agricultural goods, and create over 2,000 jobs while lowering shipping costs.

During an official visit to Italy, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, inaugurated the Egyptian-Italian “RoRo” line, a significant step toward enhancing trade between the two countries.

The new line connects Damietta Port to Trieste, reducing shipping times from six days to just 2.5 days, significantly boosting Egypt’s export competitiveness in European markets.
