Iran to set up Trade centres in Africa

  • Iran is planning to establish 10 trade centers in Africa before the close of the current year. The setting up of the centres is expected to boost the bilateral trade

The Director General of the African Bureau of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Seyyed Mohammad-Sadegh Ghannadzadeh has announced that Iran is planning to establish 10 trade centers in Africa before the close of the current year. The setting up of the centres is expected to boost bilateral trade. Currently, Iran has only three trade centers in Africa.

Mr Ghannadzadeh revealed this at the first meeting of the House of Iran and Africa, held in Tehran recently. He also disclosed that Iran will be signing an agreement with South Africa by the end of the year in the field of airlines to bolster bilateral trade and economic activities. Iran is also trying to deepen its relations with Senegal. He also added that the development of infrastructures and creating incentives for boosting trade ties with African states was a priority of Iran.
