Industrial Parks Development Corporation, Ethiopia has inked a pact recently with Addis Ababa University (AAU) to work together in areas of skill, knowledge and technology transfer. The signatories of the MOU were CEO of the Corporation Sandokan Debebe and President of AAU Prof Tassew Woldehanna.
Sandoka said the agreement would help in blending academic knowledge and research initiatives with the needs of the industry, making them commercially viable. The MOU also will help students to find suitable placements in commercial organizations and the industrial parks.
AAU would provide consultancy services to the industrial units in the industrial parks. The Industrial Parks Development Corporation is managing at least 13 industrial parks nationwide that have attracted more than 100 investors, and employ over 85,000 workers
