GITEX GLOBAL 2025 — the world’s largest technology and AI event — kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre, celebrating its 45th edition with record-breaking attendance and a powerful message: the future of innovation is global, intelligent, and collaborative.

With over 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups, 1,200 investors, and delegations from more than 180 countries, the event has transformed into a global summit where technology, economic policy, and geopolitics converge.

In his keynote, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, highlighted the nation’s commitment to innovation and diversification under visionary leadership. “The UAE is not just part of the global innovation race — it’s helping set the pace,” he said, framing AI as central to future economic resilience.

Echoing this vision, Ekaterina Zaharieva, EU Commissioner for Startups, and Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, discussed the transformative power of deep tech and startup ecosystems, emphasizing global collaboration starting at platforms like GITEX.

AI took center stage at the “Super Intelligence Cycle” session, where UAE Minister H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Canada’s AI Minister H.E. Ivan Solomon, and UN Envoy Amandeep Gill outlined how artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming the backbone of modern economies.

“GITEX is a catalyst for global entrepreneurship and ethical AI development,” said Minister Solomon.

The exhibition floor was alive with groundbreaking innovations:

  • e& (Etisalat) debuted intelligent robotics and next-gen connectivity.
  • Mercedes-Benz revealed the VISION EQXX — an EV capable of over 1,000 km per charge.
  • XPENG showcased its latest eVTOL flying vehicle.
  • Oracle unveiled distributed cloud services and generative AI tools enabling real-time avatar creation.
  • BlackBerry, AWS, and HCL Software launched cutting-edge AI-powered cybersecurity and cloud modernization solutions.

The event also marked a high point in global engagement: Brazil joined as the official Country Partner, while national pavilions from Canada, Türkiye, Spain, Chile, Ecuador, and others showcased regional innovation.
