Last week, the President of Seychelles announced that telecommunication companies would lower their prices in the New Year. D’Offay said that “the Chairman met with the Vice President and discussed how this can be done. The decision regarding lowering of user prices n will be communicated at the appropriate time, he said.
The company has been entirely owned by a group of Seychellois entrepreneurs since 2019. They . purchased Cable and Wireless Seychelles under the group CWS Investment for a price of US$130 million from Liberty Global, one of the world’s largest television and broadband companies.
Cable & Wireless Seychelles is one of the oldest telecommunications companies in Seychelles.
