Sierra Leone, the west African country, is still grappling with high gas prices and scarcity as the prices have doubled compared to the previous year. The prices are ruling above US$1.14 per litre.
Scarcity is forcing many to go to the black market, where people sell oil in bottles at a premium.  With shortages at gas stations, taxi drivers ride motorcycles or tricycles called Kekes. They are forced to turn to the black market for fuel requirements, where gas costs 50% higher than the normal prices.  Because of that, they are forced to increase the fare, affecting the common man.

To make things worse, Sierra Leone is also upfront with high inflationary pressure and a dwindling economy. Recently, people took out a protest march, where there were clashes between security forces and youth, demanding the president resign amid the struggling economy.
