Travel from France to Mauritius has resumed after the country was removed from list of “scarlet” destinations.
- Travellers have to be vaccinated with an EMA-approved vaccine (Pfizer / Comirnaty, Moderna, AstraZeneca / Vaxzeria / Covishield, Janssen). Restrictions apply to non-vaccinated travelers.

Mauritian government assured that rigorous arrival protocols related to COVID-19 remain in force to ensure the safety and security of residents as well as visitors. The visitors to Mauritius are required to be vaccinated, and also undergo PCR testing within 72 hours prior to travel, on arrival and in the days following.
Tourism industry, the backbone of the Mauritian economy suffered a serious setback due to disruption of flights and lockdowns induced by COVID. The entire value chain – airlines, hotels, restaurants, attractions, tour operators, taxis went through a deep recession. The borders reopened only two months back.
