The Ministry said in a statement that French forces have handed over the Faya-Largeau base in Northern Chad to the Chad National Army. The handover was in line with the schedule organised by the Chad government.

Under the defense agreement, France had deployed around 1,000 troops in the Central African country to support its army lending intelligence and logistical help.
