US$35 million Series B round. The startup has announced a
partnership with Worldpay FIS, a payment company to expand each
other’s operations. The Flutterwave is poised to invest the realized
capital in technology and in boosting the existing businesses by
providing more solutions around the broader needs of its clients.
Flutterwave is specialized in providing B2B payments services for
companies operating in Africa and other continents. It allows
clients to tap its APIs and work with Flutterwave developers to
customize payments applications. The company launched in 2016 has an
assortment of clients including Uber, Booking.com and e-commerce
company-Jumia. It has one of the largest transactions in the B2B
segment, accounting for 107 million transactions valued at US$ 5.4
billion.
The company has operations in countries like South Africa, Uganda,
Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, the U.K. and Rwanda.
