The firefighters were to be summoned again to douse the fire which broke out in the South Africa Parliament on last Sunday. The fire, which was believed to have been brought under control, has flared, once again, bringing again the brigade firefighters to the spot.
The repeat of the fire was noticed on the roof of the iconic building when firefighters had to resume their battle against the blaze. More firefighters had to join to douse the fire. The process of dousing the fire was challenging due to the slope of the roof and the heady wind blowing that fanned the fire.
As reported by www.trendsnafrica.com, the blaze first broke out on Sunday in the wood-paneled older part of the building. This part of the building complex housed South130-year old Africa’s first parliament and some of the nation’s most cherished artifacts. Later, the fire spread to the new assembly where legislators currently meet. Police have arrested a 49-year old man as a suspect and is being questioned. He will be produced in a court.
