Figeac Aero, the French aerospace subcontracting specialist, has officially announced a new strategic partnership with the American aerospace giant Boeing. This collaboration centers on the production of precision aluminium machined parts for Boeing’s 737 MAX aircraft. The manufacturing will be carried out at Figeac Aero’s Moroccan subsidiary, Casablanca Aéronautique.
The components for the Boeing 737 MAX will be manufactured at the Casablanca-based site, which plays a pivotal role in Figeac Aero’s global industrial network. With a workforce of 900 employees, Casablanca Aéronautique stands as one of the group’s largest and most significant production sites. It provides a broad range of industrial services, including advanced machining, sheet metal processing, surface treatment, and assembly.
According to the official press release issued during the 55th International Paris Air Show (June 16–22), this new agreement with Boeing underscores Figeac Aero’s commitment to expanding its global footprint while maintaining strong local operations. Jean-Claude Maillard, CEO of Figeac Aero, emphasized the importance of this dual strategy in the statement:
“This new agreement highlights our strategy of global coverage, which is tied to a strong local presence. It also reflects the growth opportunities for our production sites in Morocco and around the world.”
The partnership also aligns with Figeac Aero’s strategic growth plan, known as “PILOT 28.” This plan identifies North America and its aerospace customers—particularly Boeing—as key elements in achieving the company’s future business objectives. The agreement is seen as a confirmation of the group’s progress and potential. The press release concludes with a message of confidence: “This announcement strengthens the confidence of the management of Figeac Aero in the group’s ability to achieve this objective.”
