The United States remained the largest market for Egyptian garments, with exports rising by 12% year-on-year to USD 299 million, while Europe followed with a 43% increase, reaching USD 206 million in Q1.
Egypt’s ready-made garment exports experienced a significant boost in the first quarter of 2025, rising by 24% to reach USD 812 million, up from USD 656 million in the same period last year, according to the latest data from the Apparel Export Council of Egypt (AECE).
A strong performance was recorded in February, with exports jumping 35% to USD 276 million, compared to USD 205 million in February 2024. January also showed consistent growth, with exports increasing by 11% to USD 274 million, up from USD 246 million in the previous year.

The growth extended across various regions, with exports to Arab countries rising by 49% to USD 148 million, while exports to non-Arab African nations saw the highest growth rate of 121%. Exports to other global markets also surged by 49%, mirroring the performance in the Arab region.
