Europe is promoting the sale of apples in Egypt in a big way. Under a project named “Time for Apples from Europe” campaign, implemented by the Association of Polish Fruit Growers with co-financing from the European Union, apple growers in Europe are sensitizing the advantages of European apples, by highlighting its high quality, freshness, and unique taste. High production standards of European apples are also highlighted. Egypt’s and Jordan’s markets are more than others.
The Egyptian market is at the top of the list of priorities of the European Union in terms of increasing exports and expansion plans in the African continent. The volume of European Union exports to Egypt apples last year exceeded more than 170 million euros. Also, Egypt is the largest importer of apples from Poland.

European exporters constitute more than half of Egypt’s imports in terms of value. Last year, Poland exported apples to Egypt with a value of 36.3% of the total imports of this fruit, followed by Italy with a value of 24%, and Greece with a value of 14%.
