EU to Promote Creative Industries in Morocco

This project aims to support the cultural and creative industries in Morocco. The ceremony took place in the presence of Ms. Neila TAZI, President of the FICC

Patricia LLOMBART CUSSAC, Ambassador of the European Union to Morocco and Mr. Chakib ALJ, President of the CGEM, recently in Casablanca, a new project entitled “ICC: innovation and diversity, development accelerators” of 600,000 euros in favor of the Federation of Cultural and Creative Industries (FICC). This project aims to support the cultural and creative industries in Morocco. The ceremony took place in the presence of Ms. Neila TAZI, President of the FICC.

This project is part of the Support Program for Moroccan cultural and creative industries, launched in June 2023 by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Communication and the EU Ambassador to Morocco, and is the first of its kind within the framework of the Morocco-EU Partnership.

The ICC: innovation and diversity, development accelerators project supported by the FICC, lasting 48 months, aims to stimulate the emergence of the ICC sector in Morocco and its contribution to economic growth and the creation of job. It will allow the FICC to strengthen its advocacy with companies in the sector and public authorities to encourage cultural entrepreneurship, work to strengthen the legal framework of ICCs and in particular the status of cultural companies.
