It may be recalled that the physical infrastructure of the park suffered destruction due to the conflict in the northern part of Ethiopia. Part of that destroyed portion of the park is being rebuilt. Despite that, Kombolcha Industrial Park exported over US$3 million worth of products. It is expected that exports from the park might pick up in the current year because of the quick revamping of facilities that were destroyed during the tension.
