Ethiopia’s government negotiators who arrived in Zanzibar include Justice Minister Gedion Timotheos and Redwan Hussein, the prime minister’s national security adviser. Redwan incidentally, led the Ethiopian government’s negotiating team that agreed on the cease-fire with the Tigray rebels. The OLA is listed as a terrorist group by Ethiopia’s parliament, while OLA denies indulging in terrorist activities. It maintains that it is fighting for greater autonomy for the Oromo people.
