Ethiopia exported 300,000 metric tons of coffee to the international market. Its export realization was a record US$ 1.4 billion in the 2021-22 fiscal year. The success was attributable to some measures which were implemented to boost the trade such as modernizing the logistics service and facilitating loans to coffee exporters and suppliers. The country aims to increase coffee export to US$ 4.6 billion within 15 years.  Ethiopia’s global market share is estimated to reach 1.26 million metric tons by 2033.
