Ethiopian Airlines now has in-flight wi-fi across its A350 fleet. The satellite technology currently can be accessed on 10 out of 12 of the flag carrier’s Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft. Passengers can purchase wi-fi vouchers online or at Ethiopian Airlines customer service desks, boarding gates and from the cabin crew. This can be purchased online via card or Sheba Miles. The connectivity would be expanded to its other long-haul aircraft in the future. Pricing is fixed  per megabyte, with 100MB costing US$10 or 4,000 miles, and 200MB costing US$20 or 8,000 miles. Platinum Sheba Miles members can get 100MB access free of cost. The airline is using the latest broadband satellite technology, Ka-band, offering passengers seamless digital experience as they fly Ethiopian. This facility further adds to passengers’ comfort keeping pace with the technology of the day.

The expanding fleet of the airlines has most modern aircrafts and is presently engaged in expanding the network. Only a few airlines across the world have introduced Wi-fi operations on board. A member of the Star Airlines Group, Ethiopian Airlines is gearing up its operations to catch up with the best in the world. The airlines have said that it would expand this facility across all aircraft and routes.
