The surge in fuel prices has created an added burden to the government, to the tune of US$10 billion on the fuel price stabilization fund.
Analysts maintain that the price would rule high for quite some time since there is no respite on the upward movement of the hydrocarbon prices. The ongoing Russian-Ukraine war has cast shadows on the fuel prices, affecting most countries. Ethiopia being an oil-importing country, has to bear the brunt of the fuel price hike, more than any other country.
