Finance Minister of Ethiopia Ahmed Shide announced the signing of Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Ethiopia and Switzerland. The agreement was finalised after extended three rounds of discussions between the governments of the two countries.

Signed by Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and Tamara Mona, Ambassador of Switzerland to Ethiopia in Addis ababa, the deal is expected to boost interest of investors from Switzerland in Ethiopia’s development works and also improve the participation of Ethiopian businesspeople in the Swiss market. Apart from encouraging foreign investment the DTA will also prevent tax evasion and contribute significantly to the country’s development and growth.
