Ethiopia and Chad signed a bilateral agreement to collaborate in the aviation and air transport sector on the sidelines of the 41st Conference of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada.
Chad’s Minister of Civil Aviation and National Meteorology who attended the signing ceremony stated that the agreement would enable the two countries to work together on the air transport control and security systems.

Ethiopia also signed a memorandum of understanding with Turkey to facilitate the flight of wide-body aircraft between Addis and Istanbul.
