United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) latest world investment report has ranked Ethiopia among the top five FDI destinations in Africa in 2021.In the assessed year, the country attracted FDI worth US $ 4.3 billion.
Ethiopia’s efforts to adopt a business-friendly environment and easing bureaucratic processes have started reflecting in the flow of FDI.The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) latest world investment report has ranked Ethiopia among the top five FDI destinations in Africa in 2021.In the assessed year, the country attracted FDI worth US $ 4.3 billion.
The report stated that the FDI in 2021 reflected a 79 percent increase from 2020 and accounted for almost half of all FDIs to East Africa.
