According to the Presidential Spokesperson, Mohamed El-Shinawy, the meeting reaffirmed the deep and historic ties between Egypt and Greece, as well as their mutual commitment to strengthening the ongoing partnership and advancing joint efforts across various fields.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met recently with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on the sidelines of the 10th Trilateral Mechanism Summit between Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece.

According to the Presidential Spokesperson, Mohamed El-Shinawy, the meeting reaffirmed the deep and historic ties between Egypt and Greece, as well as their mutual commitment to strengthening the ongoing partnership and advancing joint efforts across various fields.

The Presidential Spokesperson stated that discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic sphere. Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying collaboration within the East Mediterranean Gas Forum framework and advancing the electricity interconnection project implementation between the two countries.

They also agreed on the importance of continuing cooperation in areas such as migration and seasonal labour recruitment, with a shared vision to expand bilateral collaboration to include all areas of mutual interest.
