Ethiopia with the Tigray situation under control after a long spell of violence in the northern part of the country is presently engaged in inviting foreign investors who shied away from the country.
Ethiopian Airlines is the fastest-growing airline in Africa and one of the leading airlines on the continent. It currently flies to 131 destinations. EIC, on the other hand, is a government institution that is mandated with promoting and regulating investments. It mainly licenses foreign investors and investors who want to join industrial parks.

The tie-up focusses on skill development and upskilling already skilled people. Ethiopia has a massive skill gap. The two organizations are expected to identify such gaps and initiate orientation to make them tech-savvy. Presently, Ethiopia is wooing heavy investments abroad, especially in its economic zones in areas ranging from textiles, food processing, telecom, IT, tourism, etc. Through these investments, the country is aiming at increasing employment to absorb teeming millions and importantly exports from the country.
