Egypt’s Transformative and Extractive Index Registers 3.9% Increase

The index is based on updated methodology using base year 2012-13, in line with the ISIC Rev.4 industrial classification and monthly producer price indices, adopted since January 2020.

 The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics of Egypt (CAPMAS) announced a 3.9% increase in the transformative and extractive industries production index, reaching 120.47 in March 2025 compared to 115.93 in February 2025.

 The index is based on updated methodology using base year 2012-13, in line with the ISIC Rev.4 industrial classification and monthly producer price indices, adopted since January 2020.
