Egypt’s Trade with Oman Declines in 2024

Egyptian exports to Oman reached USD 194 million in 2024, compared to USD 190 million in 2023. The agency noted that Egyptian imports from Oman amounted to USD 664 million in 2024, compared to USD 718 million in 2023.

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman amounted to USD 858 million in 2024, compared to USD 908 million in 2023, according to the latest data released by the Central Agency Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

 Egyptian exports to Oman reached USD 194 million in 2024, compared to USD 190 million in 2023. The agency noted that Egyptian imports from Oman amounted to USD 664 million in 2024, compared to USD 718 million in 2023.

Egypt’s key goods exported to Oman in 2024 included vegetables and fruits valued at USD 62 million, optical and cinematic devices at USD 24 million, various food preparations at USD 19 million, and electrical machines and appliances at USD 14 million.

CAPMAS highlighted that the main commodities imported by Egypt from Oman in 2024 were metal ores valued at USD 356 million, fish, crustaceans, and molluscs valued at USD 82 million, plastics and their products valued at USD 75 million, iron, steel, and their products valued at USD 56 million, and aluminium and its products valued at USD 22 million. Additionally, Omani investments in Egypt increased, reaching USD 12.7 million during FY 2023-24, compared to USD 4.1 million in FY 2022-23.
