The data showed an increase in the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Germany, recording USD 2.5 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to USD 2.4 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 4.2 percent

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) of Egypt said that there was an increase in the volume of Egyptian exports to Germany.

According to CAPMAS, Egyptian exports recorded USD 463 million during the first half of 2024, compared to USD 417 million during the same period in 2023, an increase of 11 percent.  The volume of Egyptian imports from Germany amounted to USD 2 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to USD 1.9 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 5.3%.

The data showed an increase in the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Germany, recording USD 2.5 billion during the first half of 2024, compared to USD 2.4 billion during the same period in 2023, an increase of 4.2 percent.

The most important commodity groups exported by Egypt to Germany during the first half of 2024 were:  Vegetables and fruits worth USD 93 million, electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment and their parts worth USD 68 million, ready-made clothes worth USD 65 million, fuel and mineral oils worth USD 50 million and grains and oil fruits worth USD 25 million.

The most important commodity groups imported by Egypt from Germany during the first half of 2024: electrical and mechanical equipment and their parts worth USD 628 million, Cars and tractors worth USD 464 million pharmaceutical products worth USD 206 million, plastics and their products worth USD 111 million, various chemical products worth USD 61 million.

The value of German investments in Egypt amounted to USD 196.4 million during the first half of the fiscal year 2023-24, compared to USD 199.6 million during the same period of fiscal year 2022-23, while Egyptian investments in Germany amounted to USD 97.9 million during the first half of fiscal year 2023-24, compared to USD 131.4 million during the same period of fiscal year 2022-23.
