Instashop will now operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Talabat, further expanding the company’s network of grocery and retail partners across the MENA region. Instashop’s services, which include the delivery of groceries, pharmacy items, beauty products, and other essentials, will now be integrated into Talabat’s broader service offerings.
Talabat Holding has announced the successful acquisition of Instashop, one of the region’s top online grocery delivery marketplaces. Finalized on February 25, the acquisition saw Talabat purchase 100% of the share capital of Instashop from Delivery Hero. Talabat fully funded the acquisition, amounting to USD 32 million, using its internal cash reserves.

Despite becoming a subsidiary of Talabat, Instashop will continue to operate under its brand within Talabat’s Grocery and Retail vertical. This will allow both companies to collaborate and share insights to improve the customer experience and optimize business operations.
