Egypt’s Head of Agricultural Quarantine at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Ahmed al-Attar informed that the country’s exports of potatoes to Russia have grown by 25 percent in 2022, touching a record 350,000 tons.
The total size of potato exports throughout the year was 875,000 tons. It is for the first time, Egypt achieved agricultural exports of 6.3 million tons of potato.

In another statement issued, Egypt’s Minister of Industry Ahmed Samir revealed that non-petroleum exports achieved in the first 11 months of 2022 were US $11.575 billion with a rise of 11 percent. Total exports reached US$32.575 billion in comparison to US$29.405 billion during the same period in 2021.
