Egypt’s loans to SMEs is EGP 2.6 million; funds 297 units

·        Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi said  that in July loans to the small and medium  enterprises have been disbursed to the extent of  EGP 2.6 million to finance 297 small and micro projects in 13 governorates

·        Funds will be allocated from the ministry’s Local Development Fund

·        The Local Development Fund (LDF) is created  to finance several projects to support the households and women in increasing their incomes

Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi said  that in July loans to the small and medium enterprises have been disbursed to the extent of  EGP 2.6 million to finance 297 small and micro projects in 13 governorates. The funds will be allocated from the ministry’s Local Development Fund.  The Local Development Fund (LDF) is created  to finance several projects to support the households and women in increasing their incomes.

This  Fund aims at raising the standard of living to the people in rural areas, creating jobs, and lowering the unemployment among the youths and female breadwinners in villages and the neediest areas. The projects were in progress 13 governorates,  such as Minya, Dakahlia, Sharqiya, Kafr el Sheikh, North Sinai, Sohag, along with Beni Suef, Fayyoum, Menoufia, New Valley, Damietta, Qena, and Assuit.
