The non-petroleum exports stood at US$ 32.123 billion in the previous year rose now to US$ 32.340 billion, registering a marginal increase. The country is focusing on localizing industry and shrinking imports.
To encourage exporters, the government is giving instant and cash repayment from the Export Development Fund (EDF). Through this scheme, a total of over LE 31 billion was disbursed.
