Dozens of Egyptian passport and ID holders, who want to leave the Gaza Strip have been stuck for weeks at the black metal gate at the border between Egypt and Gaza Strip. They are desperate to exit the region on account of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

Since the war broke out, many Egyptians desperate to escape Israel’s incessant bombing have left their homes in Gaza and camped around the black metal gate on its southern frontier, hoping to cross over as Israel continues its aerial bombing across Gaza.
