Total number of companies that joined the electronic invoice system in Egypt during the first and second phases has grown to 400, according to Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait. The first phase of electronic invoice system began on November 15, 2020, while the second phase of operation began on February 15, 2021.
The number of electronic documents, such as invoices, credit notes, debtor notices that were processed through the electronic system amounted to approximately 1.25 million. Over 400 companies had uploaded documents in the electronic platforms from the first and second stages of digitization. There are 37 companies that voluntarily joined the electronic invoice system. The deadline for all financiers to get registered in the Center for Large Funders is May 15th.
