Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel-Moneim Tarras underlined the importance of localizing technology in all fields of digital transformation and develop training systems in the information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in collaboration with specialized international powerhouses in these domains.
Abdel-Moneim Tarras was speaking at the occasion of signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the AOI and Huawei Technologies Egypt in the presence of Global Vice President of Huawei Hou Tao.
Under the Mou, Huawei will secure 40 Development Board Suites for training those talented in the domain (20 for internet of things (IoT) and 20 for artificial intelligence) at the AOI. Huawei will also provide the AOI with educational materials used in the training in this respect. Tarras said Huawei will promote training programs at the AOI academy, highlighting the importance of digital transformation in Egypt and the Egypt Vision 2030 for achieving sustainable development. Egyptian youths would be able to quickly understand the up-to-date technology and interact with it, he added.
Hou said Huawei will secure top notch ICT solutions to realize digital transformation in the country. It will also promote AI in Egypt in addition to training AOI cadres to use modern technology. Huawei’s cooperation with the AOI focuses on continued training of excellent youths in this score so that Egypt would have enough talents to promote swift economic development and digital transformation in Egypt.
The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company and Siemens Energy signed recently a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the development of the green hydrogen industry with the German company Siemens in the presence of Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, and Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
The agreement signed with the German company “Siemens” will give a strong impetus to the close relations between the two sides, especially that “green hydrogen” is the future of energy. Egypt has a plan to develop the green hydrogen industry in conjunction with The programs currently implemented by the European Union.
