The Egyptian Cabinet has endorsed a draft presidential decree for a grant agreement with Japan valued at 500 million Japanese yen.

This grant focuses on strengthening Egyptian-Japanese ties by implementing a digital agricultural transformation program.

The initiative includes leasing and monitoring agricultural machinery using GPS-based remote control systems. Aligned with Egypt’s digital transformation and e-governance strategy, the program aims to enhance the livelihoods of low-income and underserved farmers by providing access to affordable agricultural technology, reducing operational costs, and boosting agricultural production and land cultivation.
