Egypt to recruit talented young people to commercially represent them in foreign markets

  Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gameaa said her government paid great attention to commercial representation for  fostering economic and trade relations with other  countries and international economic blocs. She made this statement while administering the swearing-in ceremony for a new batch comprising nine commercial attaches to the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) The Minister Plenipotentiary of Commerce Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah was also present at the swearing -in ceremony.

Gameaa said that  her ministry was currently working on a plan to maximize the benefit from commercial representation offices abroad. The country was also opening up offices in new markets to market Egyptian products and attract foreign investments into the country. She underscored the ECS’s pivotal role in maintaining Egypt’s interests with various countries.

Minister Plenipotentiary of Commerce and ESC Head Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah said the new trade attachments were picked in accordance with efficiency standards. He noted that they are expected to contribute to developing Egyptian commercial diplomacy and fostering joint relations with different world countries. Talented young people will be selected to upgrade the performance of commercial representation offices abroad. Also, more women will be selected to achieve gender equality.
