Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, attended the celebration held by Auto Mobility on the occasion of the inauguration of the Geely car assembly plant on the 6th of October City recently. The facility includes two production lines for Geely vehicles, with a total capacity of up to 10,000 cars annually. The company invested up to USD 100 million for the manufacturing and assembly of Geely cars in Egypt through Auto Mobility.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the inauguration of the Geely car assembly lines represented a significant step in Egypt’s journey to strengthen the industrial sector, particularly the automotive industry, adding that it was one of the most strategic and impactful sectors in the global economy.

Madbouly expressed that this investment marked the first industrial venture by the Geely Group in Africa and the Middle East. This reflects the foreign investor’s confidence in Egypt’s investment climate and the Egyptian economy’s resilience to challenges, he added.
In a meeting with the Prime Minister, Song Jim, Vice President of Geely Auto Holding Group, stated Geely Auto Holding Group plans to export 30,000 vehicles shortly.
