Egypt to Give Additional Incentives to Taxpayers

In an open discussion at the Small Enterprises Union with heads of investors’ associations from various governorates, the minister explained that registered taxpayers can benefit from other advantages offered by the government, including access to financing and export opportunities.

Egyptian Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk, stated that the government was studying additional incentives and financial support for the first 50,000 taxpayers who register for the simplified tax system for the first time.

In an open discussion at the Small Enterprises Union with heads of investors’ associations from various governorates, the minister explained that registered taxpayers can benefit from other advantages offered by the government, including access to financing and export opportunities.

He highlighted that small businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups are a top priority for fostering growth in the Egyptian economy.

The government has removed obstacles in tax facilitation to ease the registration process for small investors, and the tax system is now offering assistance and support. He pointed out that there are nine tax exemptions within the first simplified and integrated tax system for businesses with annual revenues not exceeding EGP 20 million.

He also emphasized that the Small and Medium Enterprises Union is an essential partner in the successful implementation of the first package of tax facilitation measures. Together, they aim to deliver unprecedented tax incentives to individuals and companies across Egypt.
