Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania El Mashat told a visiting delegation of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) to build synergies with both the economies in a creative manner. The strategic partnership between Egypt and South Korea, she said, would be a win-win for both countries.
During the five-day visit of the Korean delegation to Egypt, as a part of the itinerary, a coordination meeting was held between the two sides in the presence of officials from the South Korean Embassy in Cairo. Also, there were representatives of Egyptian organizations such as the Ministry of Transport, the Electricity Ministry, the Finance Ministry as well as the National Academy for Training.
Koreans are funding a number of projects including the railway project of developing signals of Nagaa Hamadi-Luxor line. It is also supplying and manufacturing 32 metro train carriages along with other projects in the railway sector. The Korean side expressed its willingness to get involved in the development efforts of Egypt, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, infrastructure, electronics, where it possess state-of-the-art technologies and a penchant for investment.
